How we calculate your date

Pregnancy dating is an estimate based on clinical standards. Most pregnancies last approximately 280 days (40 weeks) from the first day of your last menstrual period.

The LMP Method

Also known as Naegele's rule, this adds 280 days to the start of your last period. It assumes a standard 28-day cycle with ovulation occurring on day 14.

Conception vs. LMP

Conception usually happens 2 weeks after your period starts. If you know your conception date, we add 266 days to determine your due date.

Pregnancy Trimesters

First Trimester (0-13 Weeks)

The most critical time for development. Major organs and body systems begin to form.

Second Trimester (14-27 Weeks)

Often called the "honeymoon phase." Morning sickness usually fades, and you'll begin to feel the baby move.

Third Trimester (28-40 Weeks)

The final stretch. Your baby is putting on weight and preparing for life outside the womb.
